What is living soil?

Living soil is the community of microbes working together breaking down organic matter which, in turn, provides valuable nutrition to the plants. Living soil eliminates the need for artificial pesticides and synthetic salt based nutrients. In other words, Living soil grown cannabis is the cleanest, high quality cannabis grown with the most natural methods. The goal is to mimic mother nature.

Living soil or “Regenerative Soil” allows for the grower to reuse soil for many years. We are always working toward minimizing our carbon footprint and living soil empowers growers to consistently achieve higher yields and natural purity in an environmentally friendly way.

What’s up with your packaging?

We acknowledge the issue of packaging waste in our industry. Our goal is to limit our environmental impact as much as possible. In addition to packaging our products in our solar powered office, we use recyclable, compostable and biodegradable packaging where we can. Our packaging is designed as a vehicle to deliver our products from us to you in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Our packaging is not designed for long-term storage of cannabis flower. We highly recommend transferring flower that you plan to keep longer than a day in a cannabis-friendly container or jar of your choice.

Occasionally, cultivators ask us to carry their flower pre-packaged for a variety of reasons. We do not package any flower not in our compostable and biodegradable branded packaging.

Flower we package is always packaged right before going out for delivery. We do not pre-package flower in our packaging because we do not recommend storing cannabis in our compostable and biodegradable packaging long-term.

What are your storage methods?

All flower is stored in a temperature and humidity controlled room, powered by solar, in air-tight jars in complete darkness, and never, ever, pre-packaged unless received from the cultivator that way.

The rosin and hash products we carry come pre-packaged by the cultivators. All products are kept in refrigerators/freezers and kept in vacuum sealed packaging.

What bags or containers do you use for storing?

All of our flower is stored in air-tight glass containers. We believe the size of the container matters. The less space in the container, the better. We use different sized containers depending on the weight of flower needed to be stored. Unlike the pre-packaged eighth jars with plastic lids you typically find in dispensaries, the glass jars we use for storage have silicone sealing rings and latch lids. We personally believe this protects your medical cannabis much better than the pre-packaged eighth jars and mylar bags you typically find in the industry.

Is your flower exposed to light?

All flower is kept in storage lockers in complete darkness to prevent light exposure.

How accurate is your scale?

We use a 0.01 gram NTEP certified scale. In accordance with Title 10, ch. 501, scales and balances used in direct-to consumer sales, like those conducted by registered caregivers, must be certified by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) Division of Weights and Measures. Our scale has been inspected, certified, and is compliant.
